Customer Rating: Summary: Think the desert is a dry, dusty bore? Think again! Comment: First off, let me start by mentioning that I agree, to an extent, with the review previous to mine in that this magazine does give a lot of focus to "chic upscale trendsetters of Phoenix." But I actually happen to think this can be a good thing. Not being from Phoenix, or even Arizona at all, this publication has helped me realize that this area is not a dusty, middle-of-nowhere bore as I had previously envisioned. (Unless you lived outside of the area, you might not realize that a high number of people actually think this way.)
This magazine helps to show that there is a rich vibrance and a modern culture in Arizona. Disregarding any advertisements (I don't get the magazine for the ads, anyway. Who does with any publication?), there are many articles that focus on the art scene, new and/or incredible restaurants, shopping, and always inspirational articles based around architecture, remodeling homes and landscaping. Check out the website if you would like to get a better flavor of what this publication has to offer its readers: [...]
In the beginning of this review, I mentioned that I'm not from Arizona. Well, this magazine has helped turn my view around. Since receiving it, my husband and I have taken a trip to Phoenix and we are leaving for our second trip there this Friday. My husband and I are now planning to move there in two years. Now, this magazine didn't entirely convince us (of course), but it was a great help in pushing us toward our decision! I highly recommend this magazine, even for those not into nightclubs (and I am *definitely* in that category, as well).
Customer Rating: Summary: Only for upscale hipin Phoenix Comment: This is not about desert living. It features ads for the truly chic upscale trendsetters of Phoenix...a great disappoinment for someone in the rural desert of AZ, who could care less about nightclubs. this magazine is all ads and photos of wealthy wannabes fo Phoenix area...It is trying to be way too cool, phat, or whatever is the new buzzword for trendy.
