Summary: Clunky interface. Very slow GPS aquisition
Comment: I only have experience with 3 GPS devices but this one had the worst user interface and by far the longest time to figure out where it is from the time it is turned on. It can take over 10 minutes! This is clearly useless when you're lost.
The interface is very, very basic. The MioMap C230 is 100x better than this device for the same price.

Summary: How Did They Do It?
Comment: We just took the TomTom on a road trip, and it was amazing! When we "disobeyed" the directions, it simply recalculated the route according to where we were then. And when we took a side-trip, it waited for us, ultimately remembering where it was we were going. It talks or it doesn't -- whatever you want, in whatever voice, in whatever language (Provencal? Basque?) What more could you ask?

Comment: this model is not very good with maps and are really old maps. The routes calculated are not the best. No option to customize route to maybe make maximum use of highways. All in all less than worth the money in my opinion. Also as a positive it has a good satellite reception. Recalculated new route very fast.
