Summary: Really great resource, even for suburbanites!
Comment: They initially had some distribution snafus delivering to outlying Chicagoland, but that cleared up more than a year ago.
Each issue pursues an interesting, stimulating theme in a variety of ways with the articles. The back 2/3rds is all show listings. The reviews are accurate and I've never not agreed with them, actually, which is uncommon.
Definately geared toward the hip crowd, but not obnoxiously so and pretty egalitarian overall.
Very inexpensive for a weekly publication.

Summary: The BEST CHICAGO GUIDE EVERRRR!
Comment: Time Out Chicago is great! It's got tons of listings on places to go and things to do that are really useful. I borrowed my friend's copy when visiting in Chicago and I found that I didn't have enough time to do all the cool stuff I found to do in the magazine! If you're going to Chicago or live there I DEFINATELY recommend it!

Summary: Good Read but Slow to Arrive
Comment: I already started to subscribe to TOC in January, a full 2 months before it came out. I received the bill the 1st week in March and was told that the issues would start to arrive soon. needless to say, I have just recieved the second issue this week and then the premier issue (I am assuming they are working out the kinks). I like that they cover what the Chicago Reader does but with a little more sophistication. They could do with out the Dan Savage-like attempt with the In&Out section. I find it witty and usefull. If only it would arrive on time!!!!!!
