Summary: Just what I needed
Comment: I bought these gloves specifically to use with my barbecue grill. They work great a keeping the heat at bay. I can even move around hot coals with no problems.

Summary: Great for Dutch Oven Cooking
Comment: These gloves are great. I bought them to use with our dutch oven that we use camping. I am able to remove the HOT lid easily with them. They are a little small for my large hands but I am to work with them.

Comment: These gloves are heavy-duty and priced right. There is a cloth lining and they fit a man-sized hand easily. Since there's only one pice of leather seperating you from the heat, I think the rating would be 450 dgrees for under 10 seconds. I would have gladly paid more for two or three pieces of leather (like welding gloves have) in the palm area. These are not fireplace gloves so don't try to pickup burning logs. All things considered; I can get the lid off my Lodge Dutch oven without getting burnt -- And that's all I wanted.

Comment: I had high expectations for these gloves, and they did not disappoint.
I'll admit that I burn myself a LOT, and that's why my husband insisted we get these gloves. They are GREAT for camping, grilling, and dutch oven cooking. Anything, really, that deals with hot equipment. They are lined inside, very soft, and very comfortable.
When we're cooking together, we share: he will take the left glove and I will take the right, and we're both protected.
