Comment: I've tried several different trimmers and this one is okay to good. It's a little larger than most trimmers I've used, and it doesn't trim quite as well as I think it should (low power, less precision). The built in guard is a nice feature.

Summary: Great trimmer for those who travel.
Comment: Besides the battery-operated toothbrush that was another unit I purchased for the travels as most of the rechargeable trimmers sold in US come with only 110V chargers which are useless in Europe.
I went for this newer model because of the shape, even tho the other Panasonic model (the "brick" one) uses the AA batteries which would have been my preference over the AAA batteries this one uses.
This trimmer works just as well as any rechargeable trimmer I've owned, the battery compartment is sealed well (a bit hard to open tho, especially if your hands are moist) and despite my concerns the duo of AAA batteries last quite a few trims (I use it to tream beard) even tho AAAs have less "charge" in them comparing to the AA ones.
I still would have preferred if this unit used the AA batteries as all my other gadgets (bookreader light, toothbrush) I travel with use them, but I really liked the shape of this trimmer over the AA-operated one and this is something I can live with.
What is of a slightly bigger concern for me is that without the included pop-up head it trims beard real short -- instead of 2-3 days unshaven look it gives you something closer to "oh, I forgot to shave today" look and with the pop-up head the shortest setting it isn't short enough.
Still, I can take this one with me overseas, which I cannot do with the corded/rechargeable ones, so I give this trimmer 5 stars -- it does its job really well and I'm glad I bought it.

Comment: Hair trimmer can be used anywhere, since it has batteries, cutters are sharp. I use it to cut hair, not just for beards. Love it.

Summary: Works great, shortest setting isn't very.
Comment: This works great as a beard/moustache/other short hair trimmer. Sharp, watertight, easy to change the batteries. My only complaint is that the shortest setting (without taking the guard off) isn't short enough. My previous trimmer could do much shorter with the guard on.
So, this is great unless you like to have very short hair, in which case you'll have to use it with the guard off, which is much harder to get an even length with.
